The Bridgeland Open at Oak Meadow Park Disc Golf Course

Registration for The Bridgeland Open at Oak Meadow Park Disc Golf Course is officially open. This will be the first P.D.G.A. sanctioned tournament ran by The Bridgeland Flight Club. We are working with them and heading the part of making this event a Maple Hill Open Qualifier event. This is only one of twenty five qualifiers across the country (with one event in the United Kingdom). It is sure to be a fun event, and we are looking forward to awarding three qualifying spots for the Maple Hill Open that will be in Leicester, MA between June 25 and 28, 2015. On a Vibram Disc Golf related topic (since Vibram is the main sponsor for the Mable Hill Open), two new announcements are coming out for the near future.

First,  I received an email from Steve Dodge announcing the shipment of the newest tester discs to the Vibram tester team. It is rumored that the newest project will include fairway drivers that are more overstable and understable than the current fairway driver molds (Ascent and Trak). This will potentially expand the fairway driver lineup for those that are looking for more options in rubber, rather than plastic (pending tester feedback, and the decisions from Vibram). As a proud member of the Vibram tester team, when things show up to be tested, I will make sure and spread the word so that everyone has a chance to throw the new disc(s).

The second announcement from Vibram is the potential release of floating rubber by this summer. Since Steve Dodge from Vibram makes it a habit to tease people without giving full details, we do not really know if/when this is going to happen. Fingers are crossed though as it is something that many people have been asking for.
