Vibram Birdie Bash at 1776 Park in Friendswood Texas
The second installment of the Vibram Birdie Bash series that was hosted by the Disc Golf Underground came to a close this weekend. The Birdie Bash that was hosted at 1776 Park Disc Golf Course in Friendswood, Texas was a lot of fun, and everyone reported having a good time. We were expecting heavy rain, and thunderstorms, but were fortunate enough to have clear skies throughout the whole round.
Nathan H. came down from Austin, to take first place, and earn himself a spot at the Vibram Birdie Bash championship in Kalamazoo, MI. Hane S. also earned a spot in the championships, by taking first place in the junior division. Kevin W. was the Spirit Award winner, and helped everyone have a better experience on the course.
Many of the players also had the chance to test out Vibram’s newest prototype discs, the Notch and the Arch. A later blog post will describe these new discs, and share reviews from the players regarding the discs. The next event to be hosted by the Disc Golf Underground will be the annual Labor Day tournament. Stay tuned for more details.
