Mint Discs Jackalope vs Innova Halo Leopard3 vs Discmania FD vs Latitude 64 River vs Vibram Trak

I’ve been wanting to do this test for a while. I’ve had a Vibram Trak in my bag for a few years, but with the recent release of both the Ohn Scoggins Halo Leopard3’s and the Mint Discs Jackalope, I’ve been experimenting with alternatives. I expected all of these discs to have mostly the same flight, and I think they did, but they are also difficult discs to get a consistent release from. They want to hyzerflip, and keeping a consistent angle, height, and speed is a challenge. For what it’s worth, the target was placed at 325′ away, a comfortable distance for these type of fairways.

But having said that, for whatever reason I’d say the FD and then the Jackalope felt the least stable from this bunch. The River and the Jackalope seemed to have the most glide, but I feel like the Leopard3 and the Trak (possibly because of familiarity and slightly wider rim) felt the most controllable to me. I think of this group I will bag the Leopard3 as a potential inevitable replacement for my Trak, but I honestly have nothing ill to say of any of these discs. They are all great and deserve a place in anyone’s bag.
