Innova Wysocki Destroyer vs Discraft Paul McBeth Zeus vs Dynamic Discs Trespass vs Discmania DD
Ever since I (Nathan) lost my go to 3 line Avery Jenkins Destroyer, I’ve been trying out lots of discs in this general category. Today I pit a Ricky Wysocki Star Destroyer against a Paul McBeth ESP Zeus, a Dynamic Discs Lucid Trespass, and a Discmania S-DD. (Unfortunately, I didn’t have my Legacy Outlaw with me when I made this video) I took them out to the field to test them all against each other. In these shots, I was aiming at a target about 375′-400′ away. Then I normalized the release trajectory to show the unique flights more clearly.
Video was taken with the drone parked directly overhead.
175 Innova Ricky Wysocki Star Destroyer 12 | 5 | -1 | 3
173 Dynamic Discs Trespass 12 | 5 | -.5 | 3
173 Discraft Paul McBeth ESP Zeus 12 | 5 | -1 | 3
175 Discmania S-DD 11 | 5 | 0 | 2
The Star Destroyer is still my favorite, but I actually enjoyed the Zeus more than I thought I would, even though it was generally more stable for me. I gave the Zeus a try a little bit when it first came out, but for some reason I wasn’t throwing it very well. I’ve changed up my mechanics a little since then, and I think the Zeus is working better for me now. I’m considering throwing one in the bag as a slightly more stable option to go along with the Destroyer that I bag. The Trespass I had was pretty flippy, not sure how typical that is. And the DD (I know these are out of production, but I didn’t have a DD3) is a meathook.
