3rd Annual Christmas Tournament – January 3, 2015

The Disc Golf Underground will host the 3rd Annual Christmas Tournament on January 3, @ 9:00 am at Agnes Moffitt Disc Golf Course.

This year’s event will be a “Three Headed Monster” team event (teams are encouraged to recruit novice/inexperienced players… #GrowTheSport). The three headed monster concept is as follows:

Round 1:
-Each team consists of 3 people.
-Each player on the team drives from the tee box.
-The team decides which player’s tee shot is used, and all other players play from that position. (Best ball style)
– Each player on the team is required to contribute 6 tee shots during the round. The score card will reflect which player’s drive was used.
– The team will finish out the hole as normal, after the drive has been determined.

Round 2:
– Singles round.
– Teams will be disbanded, and each player will play the round using their own throw for the whole round.
– Each player in the singles round will also be able to draw one card randomly from the deck of RIPT Revenge card game that could be used on another player on their card during the round.
– RIPT Revenge has a variety of “action cards” that can change the course of the game. Some examples include:
a.) swap lies with another player
b.) move the tee box
c.) make the person rethrow
d.) the player must throw his mini instead of his disc
e.) etc.

Teams:
Please set up and coordinate your teams prior to coming to the event. Seek out and find people that you want to play with, and encourage them to attend. This is a family friendly, fun event for all. Those that show up the day of the event without a team, will be randomly assigned to one.

Cost:
This is a free event! (Though donations in the form of cash to help cover snacks/bottled water, and prizes will be accepted).

Scoring:
The round totals from Round 1 and Round 2 will be added together, to give the final overall score for the day. The player with the lowest score will win first place, and bragging rights as Disc Golf Underground Champion.

Bag Tags:
Bag tags will be live during the event, and handed out based on the final score, and not the individual round scores.

Prizes:
Disc Golf Underground will supply prizes and trophies to the winners. There will also be extra games, in true DGUnderground fashion (ie: CTP, Ring of fire, off-hand distance competition, etc.) If you would like to donate to the prizes, please let me know.
